The future of streaming is ads

The big-name streaming services had a really good run. The likes of Netflix, Hulu, HBO Max, Disney Plus, Apple TV Plus, and all the other Pluses have spent the last decade upending the way we make and consume movies and shows and changing the whole business of Hollywood in the process. For a few (or not so few) bucks a month, more entertainment than ever is now at our fingertips. But it seems the streaming revolution has hit a bit of a wall. Most services are growing more slowly now that they’ve reached most of their possible audience. The tens of billions they’re spending on content annually seem to be producing diminishing returns. Investors are no longer sure streaming is [...]

Il existe de nombreux producteurs de télévision célèbres dans le monde entier, mais la plupart d’entre eux se lancent dans la même chose. Mais il y en a [...]

Google Authenticator

Google Authenticator now syncs 2FA with your Google Account, gets new icon Google is finally addressing a big gap of its 2FA (two-factor authentication) code app by adding sync capabilities, with Google Authenticator also getting a new icon on Android and iOS today. This will make “one time codes more durable by storing them safely in users’ Google Account.” The app dates back to 2010 and sparingly gets updates. Google is specifically adding the “ability to safely backup your one-time codes (also known as one-time passwords or OTPs) to your Google Account.” This change means users are better protected from lockout and that services can rely on users retaining access, increasing both convenience and security.
