Zattoo launches FAST movie channel Netzkino TV streaming provider Zattoo has launched its first own FAST channel: Netzkino shows movies from the genres romance, comedy, action, thriller and horror. For the free, ad-supported streaming channel, Zattoo uses content from German provider Netzkino, a Plaion Pictures brand, that is already available in the on-demand area, to which more than 20 new titles are added every month. LG integrates HD+ into smart TVs via HbbTV The buyers of LG smart TVs of the model year 2023 will be able to receive German DTH satellite TV platform HD+ without additional hardware. The South Korean TV manufacturer will integrate the HD+ TV app directly into the TV sets via the HbbTV Operator Application (HbbTV OpApp) for this purpose. A set-top box, CI+ module, smart card, TV key or other hardware will no longer be necessary for HD+ reception, only a satellite dish pointing to Astra (19.2° East). AVOD to drive North America OTT growth North American OTT TV episode and movie revenues are forecast to reach $107 billion in 2028. This, according to the latest report from Digital TV Research, will be up from last year’s total of $74 billion. The US will contribute $30 billion from the $33 billion additional revenues, with Canada supplying the rest. Most of the region’s growth will come from AVOD, with North American AVOD revenues increasing by $27 billion to $43 billion. Les nouvelles télés de Sony compatibles Apple TV et HomeKit

Puisque Apple s'est mis en tête de faire des séries TV et de diffuser des matchs de foot, autant en prendre plein les yeux et pourquoi pas avec un des nouveaux téléviseurs connectés de Sony (on peut aussi regarder autre chose). Le constructeur a dévoilé de nouvelles références dans la gamme Bravia XR qui ont la particularité d'intégrer l'application Apple TV et de prendre en charge à la fois HomeKit et AirPlay 2. Google TV’s biggest partner, TCL, is overtaking LG as the world’s second-largest TV brand The biggest partner for Google TV, TCL, has reportedly surpassed LG as the largest TV brand (behind Samsung). Business Korea reports, citing data from Omdia, that the TV market currently sees TCL as the second-place slot in terms of units sold. TCL makes up 11.7% of the market, where LG is behind at 11.69%. Roku Revenue Flat in Q4, Roku Channel Climbs to Reach 100 Million U.S. Viewers Streaming platform company tops Wall Street expectations for year-end 2022 quarter Roku’s fourth-quarter 2022 earnings came in above previously lowered expectations, as the company continued to see growth in its platform business. SVOD viewers prefer watching new shows on subscription streaming over live TV Research from Aluma has revealed that if a programme is available simultaneously on both a subscription video on-demand (SVOD) streaming service and a live TV channel, adult SVOD viewers are more than twice as likely to prefer the former option. Sling TV unveils streaming service Sling TV has launched its FAST service Sling Freestream on what is its eighth birthday and National Cut the Cord Day. Freestream is available through the Sling app on all Roku devices, and is rolling out across Comcast, LG, Samsung, Vizio and Xbox devices, providing customers a no-barrier entry point to high-quality programming without any payment or credit card required.
