VodafoneZiggo runs first DOCSIS 4.0

Dutch cabler VodafoneZiggo has become the first company in the world to conduct a DOCSIS 4.0 test over a live network. The operator says it’s expecting network capacity to grow significantly over the next few years. “We consistently continue to invest in our networks in order to continue providing the best customer experience on both the mobile and fixed networks. wedo movies first FAST channel on German cable in DVB-C trial FAST channel and AVOD provider Video Solutions AG, cable operators wilhelm.tel and willy.tel and cable association DNMG have launched a trial for the distribution of FAST channel wedo movies on DVB-C cable networks in Germany. The trial is intended to serve as a blueprint for many other FAST channels that could find their place on the DVB-C networks of DNMG network operators in future. Through the cooperation, wedo movies becomes the first FAST Channel to be carried on a DVB-C cable network, according to the partners. La Chine se désengage du projet de câbles de sous-marins reliant l’Europe à l’Asie Plusieurs groupes télécoms Chinois ont décidé de ne plus investir dans ce projet d'envergure. La Chine a décidé de réduire sa participation au projet de câble sous-marin visant à relier l'Asie à l'Europe, en passant par l'Océan Indien, la mer Rouge et la mer Méditerranée.
