Netflix adds support for frame rate matching on Google TV and Android TV

Netflix is finally getting on board with frame rate matching on Android TV OS, which will come to Google TV devices like the Chromecast. Added in Android TV OS 12, frame rate matching allows your TV to match the frame rate of the content being viewed, rather than display everything at the same frame rate. This helps to reduce “jutter” in the content, and just leads to a better overall viewing experience. Over a decade after it first launched, Google is about to pull the final plug from Google Play Movies & TV as the Android TV app is replaced with a new “Shop” tab. Netgem intros Android TV UI revamp for Zeop multiscreen TV service

Digital video entertainment platform provider Netgem has undertaken a complete revamp of the Zeop TV service in La Reunion, with the latest versions of its multiscreen apps introducing more content and more features in a super-aggregator model. In its new move, Netgem believes that it is taking the opportunity to expand its entertainment service proposition for operators with the addition of an Android TV Operator Tier solution, taking the Netgem TV user interface to Android TV boxes. Android TV users can now watch live TV

Android TV users are getting a special treat from Google today with the arrival of live TV. As part of a new feature added to the Android TV platform called the Live Lab, users can watch a wide array of content from a collection of free channels. As of right now this is a feature that only users in the US are getting access to. Google doesn’t mention when or if it will expand out to other regions, unfortunately. Google TV and Android TV apps get a new design language

When Android TV debuted back in 2014, many apps on the platform shared the same design language, but that disappeared over time as that UI became dated. Now, at I/O 2023, Google is introducing a new set of components for app developers to speed up developing apps for Android TV OS that brings a new look for those apps. Free met à jour Oqee sur Android TV et annonce une nouveauté très attendue

Les favoris sont enfin disponibles sur le player Pop grâce à une nouvelle version d’Oqee sur Android TV. Quatre mois après le lancement sur mobile, les favoris sont enfin disponibles sur un grand écran. Une nouvelle mise à jour d’Oqee sur Android TV permet en effet de sélectionner vos chaînes préférées pour y accéder plus rapidement. La fonctionnalité était réclamée de longue date et vous pouvez désormais y accéder simplement en redémarrant votre player pour accéder à la version 1.19.1. TiVo’s Android TV dongle has lost Sling TV integration
