AUK 5G offers more consistent video experience than 4G

As 5G networks roll out across the country, a study from specialist network analyst Opensignal has found that games and video users’ experience over 5G is more consistent and drops less at busy hours of the day than when using 4G infrastructures. Vodafone and Three, two of the UK’s biggest carriers, will merge

Announced today, UK carrier Vodafone and Three have reached a deal that will see the two merge into one carrier with a goal to create “one of Europe’s leading 5G networks.” In a press release, Vodafone UK and Three UK announced that merged network, currently referred to as “MergeCo,” will bring “a better network experience with greater coverage and reliability at no extra cost” to UK consumers. Telefónica and Atlético Madrid develop immersive 5G experience

Telefónica and the La Liga side Atlético de Madrid have successfully implemented a new immersive way of enjoying matches via 5G and in Virtual Reality (VR). The pilot was successfully launched in the Atlético de Madrid – CA Osasuna match and was also offered in the match against Real Sociedad at Club Telefónica Empresas on Sunday, May 28.
