Roku’s new $100 home security system can send video to your TV

Customers will have the ability to monitor their home from their Roku Sticks and TVs. Roku introduced a home security starter kit on Wednesday as part of its expanding smart home product lineup. The Roku Home Monitoring System SE has a price tag of $100 and comes with a motion detector, wireless keypad, two entry sensors and an alarm. It's the latest addition to a line that includes security cameras, video doorbells and smart lights. Customers can order the system on Roku's website starting today, and the kit will be on sale at Walmart beginning May 15. Samsung SmartThings Find network expands to over 300 mln nodes

Samsung Electronics said that SmartThings Find expanded to include 300 million 'find nodes', registered and opted-in devices that can help other Samsung Galaxy users find their devices. Sky launches smart home insurance package

Sky has announced the launch of a new smart home protection service that offers customers home insurance and smart home tech worth £250. The Sky Protect Smart Home Insurance package is underwritten by Zurich Insurance and features a suite of smart home tech products including a video doorbell, indoor camera, leak detectors, motion sensor and contact sensors. New Amazon Matter update supports Thread

Amazon has rolled out a major update for the support of its new smart home standard. They have introduced Matter to over 100 million smart speakers, as well as allowing the Alexa iOS app to function better. It has now become easier to connect to any smart home device.
