Sandbox Kids launches on Prime Video Channels in Sweden

Sandbox Kids, a provider of digital subscription content services for children and families worldwide, has launched a local-language preschool entertainment and learning channel in Sweden on Prime Video Channels.

Offering young kids Swedish language entertainment, the Hopster channel brings together original productions and licensed family-favourite shows. Its lineup of content includes Octonauts, an educational underwater show, Teletubbies, the hit British children’s series, Pingu, featuring everyone’s beloved penguin and Louie, a fun creativity programme teaching kids how to draw. Hopster’s localised originals include Kids Who Save the World, live-action environmental videos and Saturday Club, an empathy-focused preschool animation.

The Hopster Learning channel offers curriculum-based entertainment for families in Sweden on Prime Video Channels. Prime members will gain access to the add-on subscription Channel of Hopster for an additional monthly fee of SEK45, with a 7-day free trial and cancellation anytime.

New to Sweden, Prime Video Channels allows customers to get even more out of their Prime membership by adding the channels for a low monthly subscription fee, with the convenience of a single account login and user experience, which can be cancelled at any time.

Miki Chojnacka, general manager of Sandbox Kids, said: “We’re excited to be one of the first children’s platforms to launch on Prime Video Channels in Sweden. Our aim is to help families find safe quality content at ease so launching on Prime Video Channels makes perfect sense to us and we hope to be able to bring our fun education shows on the platform to even more families around the world”

The Hopster channel is already available on Prime Video Channels in seven countries: US, UK, Australia, France, Italy, Netherlands and Spain with a fully localised service in France and Spain.

Sandbox Kids has seen a rapid growth of its user base on the platform and continues to work closely with Prime Video’s US team on extensive promotional campaigns to enable its scale-up.
