Google TV is now rolling out its built-in free channels

After being announced earlier this month, Google TV is now widely rolling out its free, built-in streaming channels to all users alongside free channels from other providers. Free channels on Google TV come in the form of ad-supported channels that show up directly on the Google TV homescreen. The “Live” tab will integrate channels from free services, such as Pluto, Philo, and more, as well as paid services like YouTube TV and Sling. In total, Google TV supports over 800 free channels mixed in from its own built-in channels and the other services supporting it. Roku Ekes Out Q1 Revenue Growth of 1%

Roku Ekes Out Q1 Revenue Growth of 1%, Streaming Accounts Grow More Than Expected to Hit 71.6 Million Roku came in above analyst estimates on the top line for the first quarter of 2023, as it gained 1.6 million active streaming accounts in the period — also above Wall Street expectations. But the company told investors that the macroeconomic environment was still “challenged” in the quarter. The company posted Q1 sales of $741 million, up 1%, and a net loss of $193.6 million, or $1.38 per share. FAST TV/AVOD : 5,5 millions d’utilisateurs en France…

Selon la 12ème vague du Baromètre OTT NPA Conseil/Harris Interactive, l’offre de chaînes FAST TV et AVOD a progressé de plus de 10% en France, au premier trimestre. L’étude comptabilise en effet près de 540 chaînes au sein des huit plateformes « leaders » (6Play 24/24, LG Channels, Mango, MYTF1 Stream, Plex, Pluto TV, Rakuten TV, Samsung TV Plus) à fin mars 2023, soit 5,5 millions d’utilisateurs mensuels, contre 488 à la fin 2022.
