According to Telecompaper research, Dutch consumers are mainly looking for savings on video streaming or TV packages. HbbTV takes off in Poland

The number of homes in Poland with an active HbbTV connection has now passed 1.3 million. Speaking to Wirtualne Media, Jaroslaw Mroczkowski, the strategic advisor at the national transmission company Emitel, added that a milestone in HbbTV development took place in December 2018 with the launch of a service aimed at the supporters of the football club Legia Warsaw. 3 Screen Solutions (3SS) has entered into a partnership with Canada’s TELUS to launch a new generation Android TV entertainment service. The service offers over 400 channels, over 80,000 On Demand assets, and includes many popular third party streaming apps. Netflix, YouTube and Prime Video are pre-installed and deep-linked. Customers can also install their favourite streaming apps in Google Play Store.
